Meet Your Hosts

Hi, we’re Meg and Jill, and we’re so glad you’re here.

Our friendship and our work are rooted in a simple belief: every person already carries incredible wisdom within them. Sometimes what we need isn't more information or someone else's answers. We simply need the space to slow down, breathe deeply, and hear our own inner voice again.

That's the heart behind our podcast, Rooted & Rehumanizing, and it's the heart behind this retreat.

Meg and Jill, hosts of the Rooted & Rehumanizing Retreat in Fremont, Michigan

Together, we've created a weekend designed to help you step away from the constant demands of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most. Through rest, reflection, nature, nourishing experiences, meaningful conversation, and gentle guidance, our hope is that you'll leave feeling more grounded, more connected, and more fully yourself.

We don't believe in fixing people because we don't believe you're broken. We believe in creating safe spaces where you can exhale, reconnect with your own wisdom, and remember what it feels like to simply be human.

It would be an honor to welcome you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need yoga experience?

  • Not at all! No previous yoga experience is necessary. The movement throughout the weekend will be gentle, supportive, and accessible for all experience levels. Yoga mats will be provided for you, but if you have a favorite mat that you'd like to bring, you're more than welcome to. Most importantly, we encourage you to listen to your body and participate in whatever feels right for you.

Is everything optional?

  • Absolutely. While we've thoughtfully and intentionally designed the weekend, this is your retreat experience. We encourage you to honor what you need most. If that means participating in every activity, wonderful. If it means sleeping in, taking a quiet walk, reading a book on the porch, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee overlooking the water, we fully support that too.

Can dietary needs be accommodated?

  • Yes! We'll be serving nourishing, thoughtfully prepared meals throughout the weekend. Please let us know about any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary preferences during registration so we can communicate them with our caterers.

What should I bring?

  • Bring your most authentic, open self, comfortable clothing, toiletries, and anything that helps you feel cozy and at home. We'll provide a more detailed packing list as the retreat approaches.

Can I come by myself?

  • Absolutely! In fact, many retreat participants come on their own. We have two private rooms available and four shared room spaces. Even our shared accommodations are designed to feel comfortable and spacious, and you'll be surrounded by kind, welcoming women who are here for many of the same reasons you are. We have intentionally designed this retreat to feel safe, supportive, and deeply connected, whether you arrive with a friend or come on your own.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your space and allows us to confidently begin planning this intimate retreat. We understand that life happens, and if an unexpected emergency arises, we'll handle cancellations on a case-by-case basis. The sooner you let us know, the more likely we'll be able to fill your spot and refund any remaining balance you've paid. Our goal is always to lead with both grace and fairness while honoring the commitments and expenses that make this retreat possible.
